Chachagua Rainforest Hotel offers guests access

years ago, Sunny Land Tours and several Costa

Institute of San Carlos, a local university
specializing in agriculture, asked for
Chachagua's help to create an agri-tourism
curriculum for their university. Since Chachagua

from the local university work hands on at
Chachagua to develop and harvest these locally
produced goods in order to self sustain
Chachagua's hotel and its guests. Beef, poultry,
eggs, milk and cheeses are produced at Chachagua
and visitors are welcome to participate in the
daily harvest or fish in our tilapia pond.
What is important is
that our guests have gained a unique and
authentic perspective of Costa Rican life. A
responsible rainforest real estate project has
also been developed for those guests who wish to
return and for those who may never want to
