History
Sunny
Land Tours was established in 1964 by Elie Sidawi, and
incorporated in New Jersey in 1969.
Elie
grew up in Lebanon, and as a young man he
was working for one of the largest tour operators in the
world. He started Sunny Land Tours immediately after
coming to the United States, and in a mere couple years Sunny
Land grew to be one of the largest specialists to Egypt and
the Middle East, and had been known as a Mediterranean and
Middle East specialist tour operator until early 1980s.
By
mid 1980 company expanded its product line to Central America
and South America, and as a result of this move Costa Rica,
Brazil, Peru and Galapagos have become one of Sunny Land's
most important destinations.
Today

Land Tours today is a financially stable privately held
family business, with over 40 years experience, dedicated to
providing the ultimate satisfaction to their valued
clientele

After
40 years, and tens of thousands of satisfied customers, the
company still grows at a pace of 15% to 20% annually.

Winning Sunny Land Tours
Sunny
Land has been recognized and received many awards by the
governments of Kenya, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Venezuela and
Costa Rica for its help in developing tourism to these
countries.
Sunny
Land Tours is the only two time recipient of the "Amigo
de Costa Rica" Award (1995 and 2002). Amigo de
Costa Rica is regarded as the highest award for tourism to
Costa Rica.
Lori
Sidawi, President of Sunny Land Tours, Costa Rica, S.A. is best recognized f
or
her efforts toward blending ecotourism into traditional
product lines and for introducing the ecotourism destinations
of Central and South America.
Most notable is her involvement with the Costa Rican tourism
industry; in 1995, Sunny Land Tours was awarded an honor of
excellence by the former president Jose Maria Figueres.
Earlier in her carrier Lori, has also won the 100 Rising Stars
Award given by the Travel Agent Maga
zine,
and she has been chosen among the Top 100 Most Influential
Women of the Travel Industry.
Jose Luis Cabada, as an Advisor to Management on Special
Projects, also works on Central and South American Product
Development, is a native of Costa Rica, and is one of the
biggest assets of Sunny Land Tours to deliver vacations with
an insider's perspective. Above he is with the
newly elected President of Costa Rica Miguel Angel Rodriguez
at the Inaugural Ceremony, in May 1998.
